I just wanna share with you something.

My 5-year-old nephew always watched me doll up her big sister. One time, he asked me to put makeup on him too. But I said to him, "makeup is just for girls." He became sad and all, and I couldn't resist watching my nephew looking like that. So I asked him why he wanted me to put makeup on him. And he said, he "wanted to  become Spiderman."

I gave a sigh of relief! After all, he's the only nephew I have. (No offense to all gays out there. I don't hate you.) I just don't want my little boy  to become one.

And so the transformation happened. He was so happy and his happiness made my heart leaped.

Here he is! I love you dong!

Ganguro Makeup Look

Have you ever heard of the word Ganguro? When I first learned about it, I think of the Japanese word, Gyaru.  (Gyaru meaning: Japanese girly-glam style.)

Ganguro is actually an unconventional fashion hype in Japan wherein girls sport blonde or orange hair, dark skin, exaggerated makeup, and stickers on the face. It started when Japanese girls decided to contradict the common image of Japan beauty which is fair skin, dark hair, and neutral makeup. It became extremely popular in the 1990's but later died down in 2000.

How's 2012 treating you so far?

At my first 7 hours of 2012 (yes, it's already 7AM), I'm still feelin' W-I-D-E awake and there's not even a tiny bit of sleepiness in me. I blame it on sugar rush! I had lots (and I mean LOTS) of servings of saccharine-rich desserts during media noche such as mango tapioca, and leche flan.

My NYE look. I just had a bare face. I didn't feel like putting some makeup on since I was just celebrating new year's eve with my immediate family. No visitors. So, it's nothing big really. Plus I didn't have much time prior to that due to cooking and cooking and cooking and cleaning and stuff. So yeah.

Her NYE look. By the time I was free though, my sis-in-law asked me if I could do her makeup. I gladly obliged (since I got sick of doing my face most of the time. lol JOKE!) Plus I got to decide what look to do on her. Oh yeah, it wasn't really (literally) a NYE look since it was past midnight already when I did her makeup.

Happy new year! It's almost 6AM already and I haven't felt even a slight urge of sleepiness. Prolly, I'm all high with all the sugars I ate at media noche. How did you approach 2012?

Anyway, I just wanna let you know that I AM so obsessed with  Arabic eyes! I have been sporting this look almost every time in 2011. I fell in love with it because it looks so sultry and sexy yet mysterious.
