Review: NYX Box of Smokey Look Collection (Part 1)

It's been a week since I purchased my NYX haul.

And ever since I got my stuff, I had been using them countless of times. I had used most of the products in my Sultry Valentine look and different makeup styles for prom (since February is prom season here in the Philippines.)

After days and days of heavily using my NYX Box of Smokey Look Collection Palette, I have decided to make an evaluation on how it fares for me. This review, however, will just be plainly a review and no swatches will be posted here since I want to go into details AND I don't want photo swatches to make my post crowded. No worries though! Swatches will be in my next blog entry. Promise.

I had been dying to buy the NYX Nude on Nude Palette ever since it came out and became dubbed as a great alternative to the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I browsed local online stores to check out the prices and (of course) buy from the one who sells it the lowest. :)

House of Flair, an online shop that sells imported US cosmetics, held a Guest Blogger Program for blog writers (both pros and noobs) in which the store randomly picks a blogger entrant every month and sends a product to the chosen blogger for him/her to review.

My blog was chosen for January to feature a House of Flair product and peruse it. I got sent a gold eyeliner to examine and give my judgment. So here is an upfront evaluation after a couple weeks of inspection!

How are the  first two weeks of the year goin'? Hope 2012's not making it hard for you chicas. As for me, it's plainly boring. I just stayed at home, surfed the net, watched DVD's, and slept.

I've been thinking of a topic to blog the past days but my mind wasn't cooperating. It always stayed blank. Until I thought of arranging my makeup traincase and realized to why not share with you what makeup products should every lady have in her vanity table (or makeup bag?)
